Project "Endurance Racer" Le Mans IV
GIB Style with a difference.......
With this custom bike we have restored a converted Italian bike to an "almost" original condition,
We haven't had that yet either...😉
" Moto Guzzi Le Mans in GIVE / Dr.John Wittner Style. "
For this project we have based ourselves on the original of the successful motorcycle of Dr. John Wittner,
the builder of the fantastic 1985 AMA Endurance Racing Moto Guzzi LM4.
Moto Guzzi guru Dr. John Wittner, a former dentist from the USA, believed that a classic air-cooled big-block Guzzi twin could win a race against modern machines with sufficient development. The first victories in endurance racing followed.
In the 80s, his Moto Guzzi racing twins were very successful in US races.
Called to Italy by Guzzi godfather Alejandro de Tomaso, Wittner was asked to contribute to the development of a new, world-class superbike.
You can find a great report in the book "The Moto Guzzi Sport & Le Mans Bible"
Here is a little insight.......
